Will a golf simulator fit your room?
Enter three clear measurements, in metres or feet and inches, and who will use the room. We will tell you what is realistic and flag the risks before you spend money on equipment.
Fit first. Equipment second.
This is an early warning tool, not a safety approval. A golfer's height, swing shape, mat thickness, beams, lights and the exact hitting position all matter.
Use the tallest golfer and longest club at the finished floor/mat height before ordering an enclosure or projector.
Measure the usable room, not the empty shell
Use the clear height from the finished hitting-mat surface to the lowest obstruction. Beams, light fittings, garage-door tracks and a raised mat can all reduce the swing space that matters. Measure at the intended hitting position, then make a controlled swing test with the tallest golfer and longest club.
Usable width is the side-to-side space available for stance, swing and impact protection. A room shared by right- and left-handed golfers normally needs more width because the hitting position must work safely from both sides. Usable depth must include the hitting area, safe screen clearance and the launch monitor’s placement zone; radar devices generally need space behind the ball, while camera-based units may sit beside it.
This checker is an early warning screen, not an installation approval. Read the complete golf simulator room-size guide and use the launch monitor compatibility checker before ordering an enclosure, projector or tracking device. Always confirm the current manufacturer clearances for the exact model and room layout.
