What is the best launch-monitor approach for a small room?
For a small indoor room, start with a camera-based launch monitor or a compact net-first setup. Camera systems read the strike close to the ball and usually need less room depth than radar systems. Ceiling and swing clearance still matter more than the device footprint.
- Measure ceiling height with the tallest player using the longest club.
- In tight rooms, prioritise camera tracking before radar unless the radar unit’s published spacing fits comfortably.
- A net-first build can be better value than forcing a projector into a room that is too small.

Net Return Home Series Package
The durable return net and modular design make it easier to practise safely without committing to a full enclosure.
Golf Gear Lab insight: For a £1,500 winter-practice buyer, a complete net package is usually a safer decision than an underfunded projector build.
Before you buy.
Measure swing clearance
Check ceiling height with the tallest player and longest club—not only the room dimensions.
Choose net before projector
A quality net and mat create more value than forcing projection into an unsuitable room.
Prefer camera tracking
Camera-based systems often suit constrained indoor spaces better than radar units needing ball flight.
