Golf Gear Lab helps golfers choose GPS devices, rangefinders, launch monitors and simulator equipment with confidence. The site is built around clear explanations, practical comparisons and independent editorial judgement.
What we do
We publish reviews, guides, comparisons and real-world golf technology stories that help golfers understand what to choose, why it matters and where the compromises are.
Who we help
Golfers who want better information before spending money on technology, from first-time GPS golfers to golfers planning a full home simulator.
What we avoid
We do not exist to push products, create false urgency or recommend the most expensive option by default. Helpful equipment decisions come first.
Why Golf Gear Lab exists
Technology has transformed the game of golf over the last two decades, making tools once reserved for professionals accessible to golfers at every level. Keeping pace with that innovation requires both technical understanding and on-course experience.
Golf Gear Lab was founded by a lifelong technology enthusiast and keen golfer who has spent much of his career working with navigation and measurement technologies. Long before GPS became commonplace, he was involved in the development of early handheld laser rangefinders and navigation systems that relied on gyroscopes for positioning.
Today, Golf Gear Lab combines a passion for technology with regular on-course testing to evaluate products in the environments where they are actually used.
Golf and technology have one thing in common: just when you think you have mastered them, there is always something new to learn.
