Quick answer

For most garages, the Square Golf room is the place to start. Buy it as a SimSpace bundle (from £1,699 with enclosure and screen) if a 3.3 m-wide enclosure fits, or buy the parts with a 3 m enclosure for narrower garages. Under £2,000, use a net bundle and the TV you already have. At about £8,000, the Garmin R50 room is the simplest for families, with no PC. Check the room fits first with the Room Checker.

Bundle or separate parts?

SimSpace Golf bundles include the launch monitor plus a practice net, or an enclosure with impact screen and side netting. The hitting mat and projector are extra (SimSpace add-ons: mats £49.99–£289.99, projectors £429.99–£2,119.99). SimSpace says it delivers within 2 weeks and accepts returns within 30 days. Buying separately lets you choose a 3 m enclosure for narrow garages and shop around for each part.

Buying a simulator as a gift

Measure secretly, but measure

You need clear ceiling height, width and depth where it will go. The Room Checker takes feet and inches.

Give a net bundle

The Square Golf net bundle (from £999) or the launch monitor alone (about £689) is a safe gift. The screen and projector can follow once the room is measured.

Check left or right handed

Camera units beside the ball sit in front of the golfer, so left-handers set them up on the other side.

Returns

Online orders can usually be cancelled within 14 days of delivery. SimSpace says it accepts returns within 30 days. Check each retailer’s terms for opened electronics.

Delivery and Christmas

SimSpace says its bundles are delivered within 2 weeks. Launch-monitor stock changes daily: our retailer pages show the date each price was checked, and the retailer’s own page shows stock. For Christmas, order by late November to leave time for a delivery delay or an exchange.

Paying monthly

HotGolf offers 0% APR plans over 3, 6, 9 or 12 months through V12 Retail Finance on orders over £250, and also offers Klarna. Affordable Golf offers V12 finance too. HotGolf sells the launch monitors, the SimSpace 3 m enclosure and the mat, so a whole Square Golf or R50 room (except the projector) can go on one HotGolf basket. SimSpace mentions finance options on its bundle pages; ask them for terms. Finance is credit: only borrow what you can repay.

Frequently asked questions

What do I need to buy for a home golf simulator?

A launch monitor, a net or enclosure with an impact screen, a hitting mat, a display (TV, tablet or projector) and software. Some software also needs a gaming PC.

Is a golf simulator bundle cheaper than buying the parts?

Often. The Square Golf Home Simulator Bundle starts at £1,699 against about £2,038 for Square Golf and a 3 m enclosure bought separately (September 2026 prices). Separate parts suit narrower rooms, as SimSpace bundle enclosures start at about 3.3 m wide.

What is the cheapest complete golf simulator?

A net bundle used with your own TV: the Square Golf net bundle starts at £999, the Garmin R10 net bundle at £799. Add a mat.

Can I buy a golf simulator on finance in the UK?

Yes, from some retailers. HotGolf offers 0% plans over 3–12 months through V12 on orders over £250, plus Klarna; Affordable Golf offers V12 finance. Check current terms at checkout.
