Premium launch monitor

Foresight GC3 Review

How we assessed it: research-based, using manufacturer specifications, independent published testing, owner experience where useful and comparative analysis. How we review

A three-camera launch monitor that sits beside the ball and measures club data directly. It brings Foresight’s studio technology to serious home simulators.

Our score 96/100

Typical price: £7,000–£8,000. Available through specialist dealers; compare a complete package below.

What independent testing reveals

Golf Monthly found the GC3’s readings comparable with GCQuad in its test, making it an appealing option for golfers who want detailed practice feedback in a smaller investment. The useful distinction is which measurements you actually need: GC3 supplies substantial ball and club information but not the full GCQuad measurement set.

Read the detailed findings and test limitations

The reviewer noted that face angle, impact location and several other advanced measurements were not supplied as on GCQuad. The tested FSX presentation was functional but looked dated. Check today’s software and licence package separately.

The report describes the model and software available during its original test. Check the version, current software access and supplied equipment before buying; historical prices are not current purchase terms.

The 30-second verdict

A serious home or studio launch monitor with direct club data. If you do not need club data measured directly, the Bushnell Launch Pro uses the same kind of camera technology for much less.

Buy it if

  • You want accurate club data measured directly
  • Your room is short, as it sits beside the ball
  • You want to use it outdoors too

Look elsewhere if

  • You mainly want ball data (see the Bushnell Launch Pro)
  • Your total budget is under about £5,000
  • You want strong putting analysis

Why this score

Our score: 96/100. Evidence-led editorial assessment drawing on manufacturer documentation, independent published testing, owner experience where useful, current UK market information and comparative analysis. The score is our buying judgement, not a measured performance margin.

Why it stands out

GC3 uses three cameras to measure ball launch and one-marker club data, including club speed, path and angle of attack. It does not report the four-marker face, loft, lie or impact-location data available on GCQuad. It sits beside the ball, which suits UK garages.

There is no subscription for core data, but courses cost extra. GC3S also uses three cameras. Its club data and simulator access depend on the applicable subscription; compare the exact UK software entitlement and renewal cost before ordering.

Questions buyers ask

Does the Foresight GC3 need a subscription?

Not for core ball and club data. Extra courses and software packages cost more.

GC3 or Bushnell Launch Pro?

Is the GC3 good for a garage?

Yes. It sits beside the ball, so it needs no depth behind you.
