Golf Gear Lab assessments
Golf Gear Lab publishes independent editorial assessments, buying guides and comparisons. Read about the founder’s engineering and golfing background.
What we cover
Golf GPS watches and handhelds, rangefinders, launch monitors, home simulators and electric trolleys, with a focus on what UK golfers actually need for their game, space and budget.
How we assess products
Our assessments weigh published specifications, attributed independent hands-on reports where available, compatibility, UK ownership costs and alternatives. The GGL Score is our editorial judgement, not a customer rating or a laboratory measurement. External testing is credited to the tester or publication; it is not presented as testing performed by Golf Gear Lab.
Why measurement matters
Launch monitors, lasers and GPS all make accuracy claims. An engineering background helps separate what a spec sheet promises from what changes your decision on the course or in the garage.
Independence
Golf Gear Lab is not owned by a retailer, manufacturer or golf club. Some links are affiliate links, but they never change which product is recommended or how it is scored.
