What independent testing reveals
Golf Monthly’s Dan Parker found the PRGR easy to carry in a pocket and useful for building a working picture of iron and wedge distances. Its simple display suits golfers who want immediate numbers with little setup. Carry readings were more consistent in his use than club-speed readings, which occasionally needed discarding.

His distance impressions aligned with his on-course Arccos experience, but he had not completed a GCQuad or TrackMan comparison in that report. Occasional implausible club speeds were observed; the review does not justify a laboratory accuracy claim.

Why it stands out
The PRGR is one of the longest-running pocket radars. It is small, simple and runs for weeks on AAA batteries.
Like other pocket radars it measures speed and works out distance rather than tracking spin or launch, so it is a speed and strike tool rather than a simulator.
