Golf Simulator Installation UK: How to Get a Fitted Room and a Fair Quote

If you would rather not build the room yourself, a specialist can survey, supply and fit it. Here is what to expect and how to compare quotes.

Quick answer

Ask at least two specialists for a measured survey and a written, itemised quote. Fitting ranges from a few hundred pounds for assembling a package to several thousand for a finished room with electrics, lighting and decoration. The quote should name every part, the room height it was designed for, and who supports what after installation.

What an installer does

Survey

Measures the clear room, checks the swing with you, and spots door tracks, beams and services.

Design

Chooses the enclosure size, screen, projector position and launch-monitor placement for your room.

Supply and fit

Delivers, assembles, mounts the projector, runs cables and sets up the software.

Calibrate and hand over

Aligns the launch monitor and picture, then shows the family how to start a round.

Ten things a good quote should include

  1. The clear ceiling height, width and depth the design is based on.
  2. Every part by make and model: launch monitor, enclosure, screen, mat, projector, mount, computer, software.
  3. What is not included (PC, software subscription, electrics, flooring, decoration).
  4. The projector throw distance and finished image size.
  5. Side and ceiling protection, and how left-handers will play.
  6. Electrical work, and who certifies it.
  7. Delivery, fitting dates and how long the room is out of use.
  8. Warranty: who you call for each part, and response times.
  9. Payment stages and deposit protection.
  10. Whether parts can be upgraded later without rebuilding the room.

Can I order a complete room in one go?

Yes, as a self-assembly bundle. SimSpace Golf bundles put the launch monitor, enclosure and impact screen in one order (for example the Garmin R50 Simulator Bundle, from £5,299, or the Square Golf Home Simulator Bundle, from £1,699; prices checked 30 September 2026). Add a mat and projector at checkout. Two people assemble the enclosure in about 20–30 minutes, SimSpace says. For a fitted room with electrics and decoration, ask one of the installers above for a single quote.
