Why it stands out
On the course, the G82 is a large, clear handheld GPS with 43,000+ courses. Before the round, stand it behind you on the range and it measures club speed, ball speed, smash factor and tempo, which is handy for a warm-up.
The launch monitor is for practice numbers rather than full simulator golf; carry and total are estimates. The new putting metrics are unusual on a handheld and useful if you practise putting.
