Ben
Ben runs Golf Gear Lab and writes its reviews, buying guides and comparisons. He is a UK-based engineer and long-time golfer with a background in measurement technology.
What he covers
Golf GPS watches and handhelds, rangefinders, launch monitors, home simulators and electric trolleys, with a focus on what UK golfers actually need for their game, space and budget.
How he reviews
Every product gets the same six-factor score, from performance to value. Each review says plainly whether the product has been tested hands-on or scored from published specifications, UK retailer information and close alternatives.
Why measurement matters
Launch monitors, lasers and GPS all make accuracy claims. An engineering background helps separate what a spec sheet promises from what changes your decision on the course or in the garage.
Independence
Golf Gear Lab is not owned by a retailer, manufacturer or golf club. Some links are affiliate links, but they never change which product is recommended or how it is scored.
