When prices usually drop, how to tell a real deal from an old model, today’s live prices on our top picks, and which UK retailers let you spread the cost.

Black Friday is Friday 27 November 2026 and Cyber Monday is 30 November. Retailers often start offers in late October or early November. Before you buy a deal, check three things: it’s the current model, it’s the version you want (size, colour, battery or bundle), and it’s cheaper than the typical price in our guides. How to tell a real deal
- Compare with the typical price. Our tables show a typical October 2026 price for each product. A big “was” price on a retailer page isn’t the same as a saving.
- Check the model. Clearance prices on older models can be good value, but make sure you know you’re buying, for example, a Garmin S62 rather than the S70 that replaced it.
- Check the version. Watch sizes (the S70 comes in 42 mm and 47 mm), trolley batteries (18-hole or 36-hole) and EBS or DHC braking versions all change the price.
- Check what’s in the box. Launch monitor bundles may include balls, a net or a software subscription, and some don’t.
- Check returns. Many retailers extend Christmas returns, but the dates vary. Read the retailer’s returns page before ordering a gift.
