The interesting middle ground
Garmin's MARQ Golfer is unusual because it combines luxury materials and presentation with genuine GPS golf functionality. For some buyers that is a more logical premium “golf watch” than a traditional mechanical watch.
Which should you buy?
Choose a GPS watch if your first question is “how far is it?” Choose a traditional luxury watch if your first question is about design, ownership, craftsmanship or the watch's connection with golf. If you want both, consider a premium tool watch for playing and a mechanical watch for everyday and clubhouse wear.
